At Samrajni, we believe that luxury begins with what is real.
With natural fibres shaped by nature.
With textiles carrying centuries of knowledge.
With skilled hands that keep traditional craftsmanship alive.
And with pieces created thoughtfully, rather than simply produced for the sake of more.
Rooted in Assam and inspired by India's rich textile heritage, Samrajni brings together natural silk, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design to create clothing that feels relevant today while remaining connected to where it comes from.
We believe heritage should not live only in museums, archives or ceremonies. It should be worn, experienced and allowed to evolve.
That is why we work with the four natural silks at the heart of our story — Muga, Eri, Mulberry and Tussar — each with its own character, texture and history.
Our relationship with artisans is equally central to what we do. We work with skilled weavers and craftspeople, many of them women, whose knowledge has been passed through generations.
We believe their hands are not simply part of our production process; they are part of the story of Samrajni.
Making with intention
We also believe in making with intention.
Rather than creating excessive inventory, we favour small quantities, considered production and made-to-order pieces wherever possible. This allows us to create with greater care, reduce unnecessary production and give each garment the attention it deserves.
We look for ways to minimise waste throughout our process — from the way textiles are sourced and cut to the way remaining materials can be thoughtfully used. We choose natural materials wherever possible and value craftsmanship that gives a garment longevity beyond a single season.
Because for us, conscious fashion is not about making fewer beautiful things.
It is about making better things, with greater meaning.
We want Samrajni pieces to be worn today, treasured tomorrow and remembered years from now.
A silk saree.
A handwoven shirt.
A contemporary silhouette.
A piece made especially for you.
Different expressions, but one philosophy:
To honour where we come from, create thoughtfully for where we are, and make something worthy of where we are going.
